This window by Henry Holiday was badly damaged by an attempted burglary. It was discovered that following a previous case of damage five years earlier, a savage restoration had been carried out by a now defunct stained glass studio.

Working from a slide of the window in its original form we carefully conserved as much of the Holiday glass as possible.

Areas of damaged paint were restored by means of painted and fired back-plates. Lost areas and previous poor repairs were replaced with new painted and fired pot metal glasses to match the original.
