In February this year Iona Art Glass were given a grant by Northern Arts (in association with the ESF) to enable the firm to purchase new machinery for the production of fused and cast glass. This process involves the fusing of compatible glasses at very high temperatures. This will enable us to create;

• our own individual pieces of glass for inclusion in leaded windows
• a range of decorated vessels and bowls, and
• individually designed jewellery.

It is hoped these exiting new products will be tried and tested and ready for sale later in 2000. Watch this space for further developments
